Tarryn Alston is a Delaware Associate Licensed Counselor of Mental Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University. Tarryn specializes in working with individual clients ages 12 and up.
Tarryn has a background in working with individuals presenting with a variety of mental health concerns as well as with treatment for drug & alcohol use and abuse concerns. Tarryn's core areas of specialty are: women’s issues, family conflict and resolution, interpersonal/intimate relationships, cultural issues within the Black/African American community, and managing general life stressors. Tarryn believes that each individual has the capacity to be the best version of themselves. She uses a person-centered approach to encourage facilitation of independence, autonomy and encouragement to overcome the effects of mental health disorders and struggles. Her goal is to help others discover that no one person is defined by their circumstances. Tarryn is currently scheduling clients in person and via telehealth.
