Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a problem-focused form of treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, in order to change unhelpful patterns.

CBT is founded in the belief that it is a person’s perception or experience of events – rather than the events themselves – that determines how they will feel and act in response.

CBT can help with:

Depression

Anxiety

Panic attacks

Phobias

Obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD)

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Substance dependency

Persistent pain

Disordered eating

Sexual issues

Anger management issues

Self Esteem

Relationships

Creative Blocks

Sports or Professional Performance

If any of the above are amongst your concerns CBT may be helpful to you. All of our clinicians integrate CBT throughout their sessions.
