Counseling for Anxiety

Common symptoms of anxiety include:

Nervousness, restlessness or being tense

Feelings of danger, panic or dread

Rapid breathing, hyperventilation or panic attacks

Increased or heavy sweating

Trembling or muscle twitching

Weakness or lethargy

Difficulty focusing or thinking clearly about anything other than the thing you’re worried about

Insomnia

Obsessions about certain ideas

Ruminating thoughts or worries

Difficulty completing daily tasks due to fear or Nervousness

Feelings of overwhelm

Avoidance of certain activities, people, places or situations

Somatic (body) and health pain or issues

Irritability

Therapy can help to uncover the underlying causes of your anxiety symptoms, learn how to relax, look at situations in a new, less frightening way, and develop better coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills so that you can have a better relationship with and even reduce the anxiety you experience.
