    Tarryn Alston, LACMH (She, Her)

    Tarryn Alston is a Delaware Associate Licensed Counselor of Mental Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and  a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University. Tarryn specializes in working with individual children adolescents                         and adults.

    Tarryn has a background in working with individuals with developmental, physical and sometimes co-occurring mental health disorders. Additionally, Tarryn has experience in treatment for Drug & Alcohol.  Through experience, Tarryn developed a passion for mental health, mostly enjoying work with adolescents and adults. Her core areas of specialty are in women’s issues, family conflict and resolution, interpersonal/intimate relationships, cultural issues within the Black/African American community, and general life stressors. Tarryn believes that each individual has the capacity to be the best version of themselves despite natural life stressors. She uses a person-centered approach to encourage facilitation of independence, autonomy and encouragement to overcome the effects of mental health disorders and struggles. Her goal is to help others discover that “no one is defined by their circumstances.” Tarryn will be scheduling clients in person and via telehealth beginning June, 2024.
